In service to social justice, Advent House Ministries empowers equity for all people through support to build and promote safety, stability and sustainability of basic human needs.

In order to build a community of empowered equity, Advent House Ministries is committed to constructive and collaborative leadership, strong community partnerships and a passion for breaking down barriers, while providing a foundation of service that restores dignity to all community members we serve.

Our Impact

Advent House Ministries is committed to making a difference in the lives of those we serve. Here’s what we’ve achieved so far:

Weekend Day Shelter (July 25’ – June 26’):
- 33,232 meals served.
- 2,270 individuals provided essential services.

Advent House Housing Assessment Resource Agency (HARA serving Ingham County):
- Answering an average of 145 calls per month over the last 6 months.
- 960 Guests visited Open Office Hours M-F between 9AM – 4PM
- Over 900+ households screened and maintained on a housing list for referral to housing or other services to build housing security
- 179 community members aided in transitioning from homelessness to housing
- 105 individuals and families gained housing vouchers (78 tenant-based vouchers/27 project-based vouchers)

Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) & Rapid Rehousing (RRH) Programs:
- 170 (individual and family households) received stable housing and supportive services including
      17 families with 48 children, 16 senior citizens
- 54 households in the Lansing Housing Commission PSH program Received Case Management Support Services

Street Outreach
- 257 people assisted with basic needs/advocacy/referral/some housed/some employed

    A: Please contact us to discuss your housing situation to see how we can help.

    A: Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

    A: During business hours, we provide sack lunches when available to anyone in need who comes to our door. We also provide contacts to community resources.

    A: We will put you in contact with a member of one of our outreach teams.

    Donate

    Your donation will help Advent House provide food, housing and hope to people who need them in our community.
